Disney World is not just for fun with kids. Adults too can have a slice of their pie at the Pleasure Island in Disney World.
For adults, Pleasure Island offers an array of activities. Whether it is music, activities or comedy shows, Pleasure Island has it all. There are different arenas for activities here. 8 Trax plays retro music of 70s and 80s. it plays music featuring pop acts such as Bee Gees, KC and the Sunshine Band, Giorgio Moroder, Donna Summer et al. Every day, there is a ‘Saturday Night Fever’ here.
Adventurers Club is not it what it sounds like. In fact, it is a tame, but fun-filled comedy club where audience participates in the event. BET Soundstage Club is housed in two-levels. On the first floor is the soundstage environment and below it is the to the dance floor. The DJs are not finicky here. They play good old rock ‘n’ roll to the latest hip-hop tunes.
Enter the world of trance at Mannequins Dance Palace. Dance to the heart-pounding tracks on a massive dance floor here, which rotates as you as you shake your legs! If you are still nostalgic about Woodstock, visit Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club where nights last long enough.
The Comedy Warehouse is the place to catch up with laugh a minute impromptu comedy shows. And let your hair down at Motion while you watch videos on the huge screen.

| Events coming up in Disney World in February 2005 |

Disney World is has an allure not only for kids, but for elders too. Many honeymooners also visit this world-famous resort of Disney World. Before, you get there, we would like to keep you abreast of events there.
Between February 25-27, ESPN The Weekend will be held at Disney MGM Studios. As a part of this program, leading sportsmen will be taking part in interactive telecast of the ESPN sports channel. Variety of events such as Sports Interactive Area, Motorcades and Conversations, Inside ESPN –Live on stage, Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Draem Job will be conducted during this weekend.
If you are visiting Water Kingdom, please keep in mind that Dumbo the Flying Elephant will not be functioning till February 12, 2005; Astro Orbiter will be out of operation till March 12, 2005; and Liberty Square Riverboat also will be out of operation till February 8, 2005.
If you are going to Epcot, do keep in mind that Living with the Land and Circle of Life will not be both operational up to March 31, 2005. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is undergoing renovation until March 31, 2005. So none of the attractions will be open to public. All the attractions at Animal Kingdom Park, Disney MGM Studios and Disney’s Blizzard Beach will however be operational. No problems at all of these places

If you thought adults would not be able to party in Disneyworld, Florida, think again. Experience fun like you would in a big city with live entertainment, nightclubs and other shows. Downtown Disney West Side particularly is a vibrant spot. It also is close to the aptly named Pleasure Island where it is partying all the way.
With only one ticket at Pleasure Island, you can visit all of the nightclubs. Music ranges from jazz to rock. There are bars galore for souls with parched throats. 8 Trax specializes in playing disco music of artistes such as Bee Gees, Giorgio Moroder etc. Adventurers Club is a comedy club which requires audience-participation. BET Soundstage Club belts out numbers featuring hip hop to good old soul. Mannequins Dance Palace plays dance music for high energy souls. The floor rotates along with pounding beats.
Motion is a dance club which plays latest tunes for the hip crowd. Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club as the name suggests is the place for 50’s and 60’s music. Whoever said R& R is out? It is alive and kinking here in downtown Disney.

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel in Anaheim has a 19th century ambience coupled with latest facilities. It overlooks the Downtown Disney area and one can witness fireworks in the evening from one side of the hotel. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The bar has a fireplace and serves some good snacks. The location is one of the best in Disneyland area. The Grizzley River Rapids is also close by.
If you want value-for-money, head to Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel. The staff is helpful and guides you well for getting around in Disneyland. Disneyland is walking distance away. The renowned Mimi’s café is just across the street. The pool, which is heated during nippy nights, is lovely.
Best Western Park Place Inn-Mini Suites is very reasonably priced and located close to Disneyland. The rooms are superb and very well maintained. The continental breakfast is delicious. The pool was good, but small sized. Microwave and fridge are provided in every room. The bathrooms have hot tubs which are of great help if you are there in winter.
